It’s no secret that we’re a little obsessed with decor and design trends, we’re so excited about some of the trends in 2021 - so we decided to pull together a little list.

Monochromatic & Tone on Tone

Tone on tone has been a trend that has been popping up for a while, and it's here to stay! People are matching baseboards to window trim to sofas and more! And all in one color tone.

Trend prediction: people will be moving to the more middle tones on swatches as opposed to just picking the lightest or the darkest.

Pattern on Pattern

All signs point to pattern heavy design this year. Layering patterns seems to be a big prediction in the design world. Quick tip: the easiest way to incorporate this trend is with textiles!

Don't be afraid to mix and match and layer different patterned pillows together, rugs, throw blankets, curtains, you name it. Pick a color scheme to stick to and from there go wild! If you want to take things a step further find a wallpaper that compliments your selected color scheme and add it to your walls or even your ceiling!

Add Textiles to Your Spaces

Good Housekeeping is calling this - living luxury. Since so many people are having to use rooms in a multi-faceted way people are glowing up their room game. Instead of going with the most inexpensive piece possible for the same style, they're investing in more expensive pieces, to hold up with the wear and tear of multiple people using!

Sprouting Up

@ourniesenest

Adding plants indoors is a must (especially come spring time - don't worry we'll have a guide on indoor plants coming soon!) Come March & April it's a great way to bring the outside in and green up your space.

Traditional Turn

Traditional Design Trends

Things will take a more traditional turn in the coming months. From lighting shapes and style to warmer wood tones, more millwork and molding design, 2021 is moving in a more traditional vintage direction

Eager for some more tips? Don't worry we'll be sending some more your way all year!
